"A smart, subtly lit bistro with a cosy ambiance, housed in a typical, timber framed Kent building. A Creative, eclectic menu is
inspired by influences from Europe to Asia, and combines the ultra modern with the comfortably old fashioned. For
example you could choose pan-fried lamb noisettes with apricot, ground cumin and mint flavoured sauce and follow it up
with a traditional French pud combination of prune and Armagnac fool. The accent is on quality of produce and consistent
clarity of flavour throughout, with courteous service adding a personal touch."
 
SITUATION: The restaurant is found in the centre of the historic village of Sissinghurst, just five
minutes away from the famous Castle Gardens, created by Vita Sackville-West and her husband
Nigel Nicholson. Now owned by the National Trust NT and known as the jewel in their crown.
Cranbrook is the capital of the Weald of Kent and the heart of the Garden of England. 
The warm Kent tile buildings with white weather-boarding snuggle in areas of outstanding natural
beauty. Famous for oast houses, Norman Churches, hop gardens and blossom routes; strawberries
raspberries, cherries, apples, pears and asparagus; and Romney Marsh Sheep.
